I survived 8 hours of midterms. No human being should endure 8 hours of midterms. Two presentations, two tests, and only three hours of sleep later and somehow I managed to stay alive. I feel pretty confident with all my tests, so hopefully I didn’t completely fail them. After the madness that was midterms I headed back home wanting nothing more than to sleep. Unfortunately this wasn’t really an option. With my aunt in town I was more than excited to see a familiar face even with my lack of sleep, so I came home and left to go back out. My aunt and uncle were kind enough to treat me out to dinner and also force me to eat even more food making sure I really was full. I’m so thankful to have a family that loves and cares for me! Most people don’t understand why I willingly choose to leave home but that doesn’t mean they stop supporting me. I’m so blessed to have the family that I do, and so honored to be raised the way I was. I love my family to pieces and could only wish they were right here with me. I noticed that as my adventures get bigger, the farther away from home I get. Yet no matter what, home is home and it’s always welcoming me back as if I had never left. Today marks my 50 days until returning back home. What a crazy adventure this has been! Though its almost half way over, I’ve still got plenty of time to accomplish even greater things. Wide advice websites always said, never look at a glass as half empty, but half full. My trip is still half full and I have a while until it empties out! So here’s to more. More memories to be made, more laughs to be had, and more days to be lived out. Adios!
