Barcelona Day 46.

Vamos a la playa! Since this post is late, I’ve already forgotten what I did the other day. All I can remember is that I took advantage of the heat by going to the beach! I was still on tour guide duty, so unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to lay out and tan, but still being on the beach was pretty great. It was like a hot summer day, but in October, and Barceloneta was filled with people! While its not my favorite beach in Barcelona, it will have to do for showing my aunt around. After the beach we cooled off with some delicious ice cream! Who doesn’t want ice cream after a long, hot day. By the time we had done all this it was time for me to rush back over to go to church! I know my aunt had wished I stayed out with them longer, but church here means so much to me. I love the relationships I’m forming, and even more love to see how God is using me here. While I’m not a volunteer or working apart of the church, I know God is working in me while I attend Hillsong Barcelona. Because I was able to finally attend connect group this past Friday, I recognized a few more people and had a couple more hellos than I had in previous weeks. It makes me so happy to know that I’m forming friendships with people at this church. What I miss most about school back home is the people. I miss the friends I could talk about God with, the professors that would pray over me, and the community that was dedicated to helping students build their walk with God. At church I know that I’m being the real me. The me that loves God with all my heart and soul and falls to my knees in the midst of his glory. A few weeks ago my dad explained to me that all these emotions I have, even when I don’t understand the language, is because the Holy Spirit is working within me. And it’s true. I’ve never felt this moved before. I know I’ve said it a million times already, but I really can’t wait to see what else God has in store for me here. Adios!
