Barcelona Day 52.

Brunch, what a lovely meal because it means that you don’t have to wake up really early like for breakfast, but then you can also eat yummy breakfast food instead of sandwiches like for lunch. So brunch it was! My friend and I got lost in the Gothic area, but eventually found our way to Milk- the most delicious American breakfast style restaurant I’ve tried here. Since breakfast isn’t very big in Spain, it was no shock seeing all the American people enjoying their eggs and pancakes inside. I have many favorite breakfast options, but this time I ordered the eggs benedict, and oh was it a delight for my stomach! I can’t wait to go back and try their pancakes or waffles or omelettes! After a yummy breakfast, my friend and I went to the aquarium. Being the animal junkie that I am, I felt like a little kid in the aquarium and could have sat there staring at the sharks for hours! It was a little strange, because the sharks in Europe are far scarier than the sharks back home. They had evil looking eyes and even were humpbacked! Continuing to explore the Barcelona port area my friend and I stumbled upon the Columbus monument! I’ve always though it was funny that Columbus was pointing in that direction, because if you think about it, America is in the other direction.. I guess it’s justified, because he probably is pointing in the direction that he sailed. To end my day I had my favorite, ice cream! Ice cream, I scream! Nothing can top a day full of exploring like some sweet goodness! Adios!
