Barcelona Day 56.

A little bit of class, a little bit of exploring, a little bit of this, a little bit of that. But it was mostly exploring. Monday and Wednesdays are lovely because class lasts shorter than my average nap. So since class was over before it even started I first, took a nap, then finally took the time to visit Casa Batllo. Now by this point I’ve already seen some amazing Gaudi creations, but I was still blown away by this building. The way Gaudi created the structure around natural lighting in order to illuminate the whole building is remarkable. His planning on the colors and the sizes of windows is nothing less of what I would expect from Gaudi. I regret not taking the time to listen to the audio guide, because I know there is much more I could have learned. His work is captivating and amazing to say the least, and I am forever in awe of the things he has made. My favorite places in Barcelona would not have existed if it had not been designed by Antoni Gaudi. There are a few more places in Barcelona that were made by Gaudi, and I can’t wait to see as many as I can. I have two weeks until my mom arrives when I can revisit all these beautiful places, and five weeks in all until I leave. So it’s time to visit, soak it in, and live it up. Adios!
