Thankful.

Thanksgiving is upon us and that means it’s the one day of the year, besides your birthday, where anyone can publicly announce what they are thankful for!

This year I have so much to be thankful for! I finished up my first year of college, worked an amazing job where I had immense amounts of fun over the summer, and am currently traveling the world. My first year of college was the start of an unforgettable four years that I’ll continue to have at Point Loma Nazarene University. I’m thankful for the friends I’ve made, connections I’ve built, and opportunities I’ve taken advantage of. God has placed some truly incredible people in my life who support and love me more than I could have ever imagined. Besides that, PLNU is a blessing in itself. I’m going to a school where my opportunities are endless and my faith is growing more and more each day. This summer the blessings continued to flow into my life. My job was both very fitting and very fun. I feel so lucky to be able to continue working in a program that I love being apart of. Not many people can say that their job requires playing games, painting arts and crafts, and watching a hippo fling poop at people. Now, at this time in my life, I’m at the peak of my appreciation. I’m traveling the world for goodness sakes! I’m doing something very few in the world can say they did. Everyday I get to do and try something new. Barcelona has been such an incredible blessing and an experience that I will never forget.

In addition to all of that, I’m also extremely thankful for the things that are soon to be happening in my life! God has allowed me to do some pretty amazing things, and I know that this is not the end. My journey is just beginning, and it’s just going to get better from here. So this Thanksgiving, I look back at everything I’ve done or seen or have been given, and I feel so overwhelmed with gratitude. None of this would have been possible without my friends, family, parents and God.

Thank you to the friends who put up with me day by day. You listen to me, and some of you even know me better than I know myself. Thank you to my family who care about me no matter how far away I may be. Family is forever, and I’ve learned that more and more as I’ve grown up. Thank you to my dad for everything. You’re always so interested in my adventures, and I love being able to share them with you. Thank you to my mom for funding and encouraging me. You’ve always pushed me to be more independent, but always welcome me back when I just need to be a kid again. But not enough thanks can be given to God. I live the life I do because of Him. God has always loved me and led me into the greatest path of my life. Without His light, I would be completely lost. So thank you, to everyone.
