Barcelona Day 74.

Never going to catch up, seriously. Thursday November 38th was Thanksgiving!! (I realized the 38th doesn’t exist, but for the sake of it proving how tired I am, I’m leaving it.)

This was my first ever Thanksgiving away from home, but thankfully I was able to celebrate it with my mom and sister! While we weren’t stuffing our faces with turkey and stuffing, we celebrated our Thanksgiving Spanish style with paella! It wasn’t the typical American Thanksgiving, but it was delicious nonetheless. After our lunch time feast we ended up going shopping! You can say it was just like what we do back home anyways! In Barcelona they don’t really have Black Friday but an event called Shopping Night. Coincidentally Black Friday and Shopping Night happen to fall on the same day.. We didn’t stay out long for Shopping Night, but did happen to buy quite a lot of things. I’ll admit that I’ve bought as much in this past week as I have in my whole time being in Barcelona!! I have no idea how my sister is going to fit all her new stuff plus some of my old stuff in her luggage, but I sure hope it fits.

Speaking of packing, I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that this time next week I’ll be packing up my bags to go back home! My time in Barcelona has passed by so quickly. I knew it would happen like this, but I wish the past four months didn’t flash by in the blink of an eye the way it did. I’m so grateful for this experience and really am excited to be back home! Barcelona 2013 will forever be a memory that I can cherish and appreciate. So although it wasn’t my home, it was a whole new home. Adios!
