Barcelona Day 79.

Tuesday December 3rd. Wake up, go to class, go home. 9 full days left in Barcelona!

For my photography class I had a project consisting of going out and taking photos of a certain topic. It being Christmas time, I picked Christmas as my theme! I was inspired by London’s Liberty store and wanted to take cute photos of Christmas ornaments, but 10 minutes after taking photos in Corte Ingles, a staff member told me to stop because it wasn’t allowed. So I decided why not try something new! I’ve seen bokeh photos before, but I’ve never tried it myself. After asking my friend how to do it, I experimented on my camera and was able to get some pretty amazing shots of Christmas lights in Barcelona.

My Christmassy feeling started earlier than it would have if I were back home, because here they don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. Personally, I think I like it better that way! Yes Thanksgiving is great for being thankful and eating good food, but is a holiday really necessary for that? Can’t I be thankful everyday and eat pumpkin pie whenever I want to? I’ve officially been converted into a full fledged Christmas supporter and from here on out Thanksgiving won’t be as exciting to me. Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays because of the loads of presents, but now all that matters to me is getting to spend time with my family. So I guess you can say that’s why I’m so excited for Christmas, because not only is it a fantastic holiday, but it means I’ll be reunited with family. Only 9 more days until I’m home and 22 until Christmas! Adios!
