Point Loma Day 1.

My newest adventure has started and it’s called “Spring Semester of Sophomore Year.” The excitement I felt when driving down Rosecrans then up to Cañon then turning on Lomaland was far too much for me to handle. I wanted to cry and shout and maybe even upchuck a little, but one thing I knew for sure was that I was back at home.

Point Loma Nazarene University felt like home the very first time I visited as a young little freshmen in high school, and it continues to be my home now. I’ll admit that this time around is pretty scary for me. Coming back after having left for a whole semester means I missed out on the inside jokes made and new friendships formed. There’s this thing we study abroad students are told about called re-entry shock, and I guess you could say my re-entry shock is feeling like the new kid entering a new high school during their junior year. Nonetheless I choose to make this seemingly bad situation into a positive experience. This semester I have the opportunity to add on more friendships and learn even more things. It will be great, and my unforgettable memories will make up for my future sleep deprivation. So until tomorrow, bye bye from me!
