Point Loma Day 10.

Second week of school and it feel like I’ve been here for months. Study abroad school is so different compared to real school. Study abroad school is only Monday through Thursdays. Study abroad school is pass fail, so you only have to do the bare minimum. Study abroad school doesn’t make you pay hundreds of dollars for textbooks, nor does it require hours of homework and studying. I miss study abroad school. But nonetheless I’m back at school, and it’s time to focus.

My mom texted me the other day telling me to focus on school and make her proud. At this very moment every  bit of willpower in my body was prepared to see this through. There’s nothing I want more than to succeed and make my mom happy. For all that she’s sacrificed and done for me to get where I am, I’m willing to sacrifice a couple extra hours of sleep in the morning to wake up on time for class, a few nights of hanging out with friends to study in the library, and all else that stands in between me and the good grades I can achieve. So this semester is for her. I’m going to complete all my homework assignments, study hard for tests, and bring home a semester transcript worth hanging on the fridge. So as much as I miss study abroad school, it’s time for me to take control of real school.
