Hawaii Day 34.

June 23rd.

Remember how I was talking about a break, and more specifically a break from my alarm clock? Well my first day on Kauai required me to wake up at 5:00 AM. It was a rough morning getting out of bed, but there was good reason for it.

The first activity of our trip was a boat ride tour of the Na Pali Coast. It was stunning. It was gorgeous. It was breath taking. It was unbelievable. It was beautiful. Oahu has my heart, but Kauai definitely blew me away. Taking the zodiac all the way down the coast left me in awe. Not only did we experience such great beauty, but there was so much history behind the island. We learned about the caves and the old burial traditions that would happen in the canyon; it was all so intriguing.

Seeing the island coast and all of its beauty only added to my daily reminders of how great God’s creation is. Everyday I wake up seeing such beautiful sights, and there’s never a shadow of doubt that God created it all. He created the Waimea Canyon, and He created the Na Pali Coast. He created the entire universe, and He created me. The beauty isn’t only in nature, but it’s in knowing that my God created me as well. He made everything from scratch, and the Bible says God knits us together in our mother’s wombs. There is so much value in knowing that we were crafted by the highest of creators.
