Hawaii Day 62.

July 21st.

Saying goodbye to a new place isn’t easy. Saying goodbye to the beautiful, breath taking island of Oahu is about as easy as walking across a floor covered in tacks. I knew coming in that I would love it, but I never expected to love it so much that I wanted to stay forever.

Travelling isn’t new to me, and I know what it’s like to pack your bags and hop around. But not a single bit of me wanted to pack to return to San Francisco. Hawaii was stunning, Oahu was exciting, and Kaneohe was my home. My ten-week internship wasn’t just a job opportunity, but it transformed into the start of me building a home. I want to return, and I know I will return, but until then I don’t know how I’m going to manage when I leave.

I want a future in Oahu. I want to come back and return to the ministry I’ve grown to love. I want to come back and teach at an academy with excellent academics intertwined with strong Christian faith. I want to call Oahu my home one day. But no matter what it is always about what God has planned for my life. So please, please, please God let Oahu be part of that plan.
