Barcelona Day 70.

Wednesday November 20th seemed like it happened ages ago. With my level of tired right now I honestly don’t remember or think I did much. Since my Wednesday schedule only consists of one class, I can imagine that I spent a portion of the day taking a nap. But ooh, now that I think about it, Wednesday I met up wit my intercambio partner.

An intercambio partner is like a foreign exchange partner who can show you around the way a local sees the city. Since most of my weekends are spent traveling and my partner is typically busy during the weekdays, we’ve only been able to meet now. While I was excited to meet him, I already felt like I had a good understanding of Barcelona from a natives perspective. Yes, I still can’t speak the language and probably wouldn’t be able to give you great directions, but I’ve experienced so much of what I wanted to see in Barcelona. With just a few more weeks left, my goal is to stop going where the tourists go and uncover some hidden local gems. Four months was definitely not long enough for me to see and experience absolutely everything I could in Barcelona, but it was a great starting point for something that will definitely continue in the future. Adios!
